Asili is a Swahili word that means Origin.
Asili is small cafe located right in the heart of the nation’s capital, Canberra. The main attributes of our African Origins at the cafe are menu, setting and culture of Asili.
We will be serving coffee, African street food with a particularly generous serve of “ubuntu”.
In fact, the cafe aims to provide customers with the opportunity to experience an African dynamic to the café life.
Through our experience as Africans, as a matter of fact, we have found that Africa is a continent made up of many unique and vibrant countries. But they all share at their core, the spirit of ubuntu delivered in similar ways of engagement: conversation, music and dance and most importantly food.
