ACTIVITIES CELEBRATE CULTURES

 

CELEBRATE Australia’s rich cultural and linguistic diversity at Beenleigh Library as part of its Harmony Day activities.

Three events will happen over three weeks with the first, an origami workshop, that will take place on Saturday, March 24. Two sessions of tribal drumming workshops will be on Wednesday, April 11.  You can see Indian culture  through story, song and dance on Saturday, April 14.

Gold Coast Council community services committee chairman Bob La Castra said the libraries had expanded their collections to include bilingual children’s books in English and several other languages.
